This Currie crate rearend assembly makes upgrading any classic Mustang or restomod project simple by providing a direct bolt-in assembly that matches the vehicle's original equipment specification. This complete kit comes with all the parts necessary for installation. The Currie centurion housing has all the classic notchback looks that you’re used to but now in a newer, high-strength American-made housing with 3" diameter axle tubes and a CNC-machined face flange. Paired with the Currie sportsman case, this package provides your classic Mustang with the foundation for a performance-level build.

A drain plug makes routine maintenance a breeze by no longer requiring the removal of brakes or axles to do a simple oil change. Included in this crate rearend assembly are Ford Explorer 11-inch rear disc brakes. These brakes have Currie Twin-Trac limited slip and are finished in a satin black powder coating for added durability and stylish good looks.
Twin-Trac Features:
- High-torque bias drives both wheels for maximum traction with smooth operation
- Requires no clutches, springs, or special lubrication/friction modifiers
- Bearing Journal: 1.780
Gear Oil Recommendations:
- For all 9" applications, Currie recommends 85W-140 weight GL6 rated petroleum-based gear oil.
- Synthetic oils are NOT recommended for 9" gears or the TwinTrac limited-slip differential.
- Friction modifiers should NOT be used, as they will decrease differential bias and negatively impact performance.
