- Prevents Resin Build-up
There are many advantages of having weld-thru primer that is featured on these gussets. Your overall welding process will be much easier, whether it's your reduced prep time or the welding application itself. Having weld-thru primer will also fight against any heat problems, as well as any rust or corrosion. It also makes for a lower resistance at the weld surface which allows for better penetration into the denser, new steel that helps forgive an old alloy's problems with porosity & impurities. The primer also helps prevent resin build-up between welds that can trap moisture in the old porous steel that can lead to a failure in welding.
