J&L Oil Separator Company's old oil separator only held around 1 oz. of oil blow-by. This new version holds 3 oz. The stealthy black anodized finish is a rugged touch to the separator's durable billet aluminum construction. The multi-stage filtering system works like a charm. Fine oil vapors pass through two separate filters. First, the vapors are collected by a fine mesh stainless steel screen. When they become heavy enough, they drop to a second filter. The oil droplets then go through a 1/2” thick 1/16th” aluminum honeycomb filter where they grow into larger droplets and fall to the bottom of the canister. This stops the oil vapors from continuing on into the intake system
