MBRP XP Series Stainless Steel 3" H-Pipe for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 GT Mustangs with Stock Catalytic Converters.
MBRP's XP Series 3" H-Pipe is a great addition to your 2011-2014 GT Mustang. This h-pipe bolts directly to your stock head pipe to retain the stock catalytic converters. An MBRP performance exhaust system is the starting point to getting the most from cold air intakes, tuners and other bolt-ons. This exhaust spent countless hours on the dyno and hundreds of miles on the street and track to ensure the best performance possible. MBRP designed their exhaust to maximize exhaust flow and minimize exhaust temperatures providing better fuel economy, performance and life expectancy. Rugged 16 gauge T409 stainless steel construction can withstand whatever the road throws at it, whether it be salt, rocks, tar, grime, etc.
Enjoy the deep, classic tone you love that can only be achieved with an h-pipe. The MBRP h-pipe improves both sound and horsepower. Exhaust notes are civilized when needed and seriously aggressive when you want it. Replace the stock 2-1/4" mid-pipe with MBRP's h-pipe which greatly outflows the factory piece, producing more horsepower and a fantastic rumble. Since the h-pipe bolts to the factory head pipe and doesn't delete the catalytic converters, it is street legal.
XP Series exhaust systems are designed and built to stand up to the harshest road conditions. Construction comes from T409 stainless steel, which is cheaper than the T304 stainless steel found in the Pro Series exhaust, but contains the same materials needed for long lasting and durable life. MBRP's XP Series exhaust is rugged and dependable, fighting off rust and corrosion. If the Pro Series is out of your price range and you want the next best thing, the XP Series is just for you.
Will work with factory or aftermarket cat-back exhaust systems.

Jesse: Hey, thanks for having ME.
Bill: Appreciate it. I'm familiar with MBRP from the truck market. How long have you guys been in the Mustang and Focus market?
Jesse: We've actually been in the Mustang market since the S197 car launched in 2005. We started with an axle back and it sort of progressed from there.
Bill: Okay, what do you have ... What is with you today here?
Jesse: This is a spattering of some of our car stuff. Right there you've got one of our new part of our new black cat-back for the '11 and up Coyote car. Right here is a tail pipe section from a Ford Focus ST. Set of long tubes here for a 5-liter car, so sort of the whole gambit here.
Bill: This looks like almost a truck pipe, but this is the exhaust pipe for the Coyote?
Jesse: That is a 3 inch diameter cat-back, yeah.
Bill: You said this system's available in the black finish? And it also comes with a polished tip, I'm assuming?
Jesse: It's available in stainless aluminized, which is like what this pipe is here, and the black coating, as you see.
Bill: That's for all 2011 and up?
Jesse: 2011 to 2014, yeah.
Bill: And the same with the header? Now, tell us a little more about the headers you make for the Coyote.
Jesse:The Coyote car is obviously a real bolt-on friendly one, and one of the main things that a lot of people do, once they start getting into the mods is the long-tube headers. We make long tubes that are direct bolt-in; they're only available actually in our T-304 stainless steel. We also have a couple of H-pipe configurations that will work with either our cat-back or the stock cat-back.
Bill: You have H and X pipe or just the H?
Jesse:Just H. We did tons of testing between H and X and we really honestly could not get any power gains like we could with an H-pipe; much like what the factory comes with in contrast to the X-pipe, so we rolled with the H-pipe. Ford obviously did a lot of research when they built the car, and we saw the same results, so we rolled out with the H-pipe.
Bill:It's always a constant battle of X versus H, but it's good to see you guys did the research to make sure the H was the one to go with your header. That's available for Coyote, anything for the GT-500 yet?
Jesse:We do, we have all the GT-500 cars covered currently, so the '07 to '13, which ironically, the '11 through '13 uses the exact same header.
Bill: The exact same header, okay. Tell us a little bit about how MBRP got started.
Jesse: We've been around about, well, since 1995. We started as a snowmobile, sort of power sports, exhaust manufacturer. Our owner is a vehicle enthusiast, so MBRP actually stands for Martin Barkey Racing Products. Right around 1998/'99, he was really getting into the trucks, modifying them, because he was going to all these power sports shows and towing trailers; so he got into diesel pick-up trucks and noticed that there was really no offering for after-market diesel exhaust. That's sort of where we got our soiree into automotive, and there it evolved into gas pick-up trucks, gas cars, and then you have the company we have today, 20 years later.
Bill: Where are you guys based out of?
Jesse: We're based basically about an hour north of Toronto; Huntsville, Ontario.
Bill: Okay, and all your production, everything is made in-house?
Jesse: Everything is made in Canada, yeah.
Bill: Excellent, excellent. We're talking about the Focus market, the Mustang market. What else do you do Ford-wise? Trucks, Tauruses, anything like that?
Jesse: Ford-wise, pretty much everything that has an EcoBoost is on our horizon. Focus ST is obviously one that we've rolled out with; we have several parts available for it. Ford EcoBoost F-150 is another market that we do really well with. We have several applications available for it. Ford Raptor is a huge one for us. We do really well with our black stuff for the Ford Raptor guys. Really, almost anything Ford truck or enthusiast-related, we either have something for, or have something on the drawing board for it.
Bill: I'm sure you guys are excited about the 2015. You'll have something available for that as soon as it hits the market?
Jesse: We are. We are itching to get our hands on one, yeah.
Bill: Cool. Well thanks for coming!
Jesse: Yeah, thanks for having us.
