This Crossmember-Back Exhaust System from Pypes Performance Exhaust allows you to customize your 1971-1973 Mustang with excellent style and an improved performance! This system is designed for use with Coupe and Fastback models.

This Exhaust System is made from 16-gauge stainless steel and 2-1/2 inch mandrel-bent piping. It uses an X-pipe design that provides a boost in horsepower while offering maximized exhaust gas flow. It utilizes a dual exit style and comes with your choice of optional mufflers to go with it. These include a Race Pro muffler which uses a straight-through design and faster cooling for race applications, a Street Pro muffler which combines street and strip applications, a Turbo Pro muffler, or a Violator muffler that uses miniatur sound deflector chambers.

Additional Notes:
- This Exhaust Assembly will not fit 1971-1973 Mustangs with staggered shocks.
- Variations in headers may require modifications to the length and or angles of the intermediate pipes when connecting to the header collectors.
- This Exhaust Assembly will not fit 1971-1973 Mustang Convertibles.

Muffler Options:
- Turbo Pro: A full, rich tone, that fits muscle cars or muscle trucks, adding the right amount of rumble. Designed for long cruises without diminishing performance.
- Race Pro: Subdued noise at idle but gets louder quickly with acceleration. Highest flowing option while remaining on the quiet end.
- Street Pro: Pure muscle car sound. Features a chambered design without packing, and works well with X-pipes and H-pipes.
- Violator: Straight-through design with zero packing for a loud, in-your-face start to every day.
