Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Installation When I pulled the seats on my '65 Hurricane Katrina victim I couldn't get anything to work; all completely rusted. These arrived promptly and fit the new seat bottom frames I got from CJ perfectly. Only thing is to remember to order the bolts to attach to your frame if the old ones are missing or unusable. It'd be nice if they were part of the package.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for what they are The sliders themselves work nice and are nice quality but I don't really like or trust the stock style slider linkage, but mine actually didn't work at all. The middle rectangular connection piece wouldn't hold the threads and they would slide out. I ended up just using picture frame wire and clamping it when it was completely taught and then taping middle together to get rid of the slack. Worked great and is definitely more durable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Repro Overall quality on this track assembly is solid. For the life of me, though, I don't know why they don't provide simple instructions for things like these. CJ's has a little writeup on restoring seats and assembly, but doesn't cover the install very well. The actual rails are great quality and lined up nicely. The middle connection between is a little cheap, but works overall. For install, the two rails get lined up with the levers facing towards the middle of the seat. Included will be a long metal screw and a black piece of metal that connect into this rectangular device that creates a pull and initiates the sliding mechanism on the non-handle side. To install, unscrew the silver side, but leave the black piece in the rectangular piece, with the circle end on the inside. Install the black side on the rail that has the handle. There will be 2 small circles near the handle. I inserted it into the bottom of the two. On the other rail, you will put the non-threaded side into the bottom of the 3 small circles. I had to use a small pick to pull the piece out (which activates the sliding mechanism) so I could put the end in that hole. From there, thread the silver piece into the other end of the rectangular piece until you have a nice firm pull on both sides. the kit also comes with a spring, but I opted to not use it as I couldn't get it to stay in place. Just google the seat assembly and review images and you can clearly see where it goes, but I couldn't get a firm seating of the spring and it doesn't impact the sliding capabilities without it (though, to be fair, I don't have to move my seat after I found the position I'm going to use). My two attached pictures show the ends of the pieces underneath of where they go, sorry for not getting better pics. Overall, these are nice repro's and I would have given 5 stars if they just gave instructions instead of assuming anyone buying these is familiar enough or has the time test fitting until they get it right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seat track assy. I bought one in 2014, one of the best reproductions I've bought, definitely recommend this. Every thing is included, except mounting screws. Use the factory mounting screws, if you can, their best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and finish I bought this to replace my stock and the fit and finish was perfect. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect replacement parts When i went to redo my interior, neither front seat would adjust. Found that the drivers side right rail was rusted beyond repair or reuse and same for the passenger left rail. I bought just one assembly and easily replaced the bad rails, the new rails matched up with the old ones perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Would be grewat but... Bought this about a month ago and the bracket itself fit perfectly. I would rate this as a 5 star, but the small male end for the tension components was not included in my shipment. I had to sand, paint, and reuse the old one. Seems crazy since one end was included but missing the other. I didn't bother to call CJ Pony Parts as I was in a hurry to get the seat back in the car.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality Product, but Needs Instructions It would be great if instructions were included with this product. It was trial and error getting the bracket correctly mounted on the seat and in my car. The drivers side took several hours with lots of in/out. The passenger side took 20 minutes. Once in, the product works well adapting a wider slider mount to Mustang floor mounting holes.

will these seat brackets fit 65 comet

Asked by: 65vomet
No, I purchased them in hopes they would fit. The bolts are off by 1.5” 65 Comet :) Can be modified to work, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Hello, Will this work w/ the Procar seats? If so, do I have to purchase the Procar adapter for this as well?

Asked by: Dutch120
To mount the procar seat you would need a seat track adapter, https://www.cjponyparts.com/procar-seat-track-adapter-1965-1970/p/STP1/, the adapter will bolt to the procar seat tracks and the floor of your car.
