SPEC 10" Stage 0 Clutch Kit for 1965-1973 V8 Mustangs.

Uses an OE type organic disc and stock-type plate. This means that the kit does not have the higher friction coefficient of SPEC's upgrade disc materials or increase clamp load of their built pressure-plates. But, it is an OE-type replacement and isn't intended to be as performance oriented as other offerings. The capacity is 345ft/lb at the crank.

WHY DOES THIS NOT LOOK LIKE MY STOCK PRESSURE PLATE ON MY 65 4 SPEED

Asked by: GOLFHOTARCHER
This is a diaphragm style pressure plate, vs the old long style 3 finger design. Google Long vs diaphragm style to see differences, both will work, but clutch peddle feel will change.

Hi I had a ck1 spec 0 fitted and the pedel is very very heavy. The linkage is fine as is the pedel pivot. Help. Steve

Asked by: Steve 1965
A heavy pedal in this instance could be caused by the clutch just being new, or the pedal support bushings could be worn. A kit like HW1015 is a great way to fix the issue and upgrade to a better design.
