One of the most important parts of your 1974-1985 Mustang is the internal moving gears which allows everything to work properly. If your timing chain cover is damaged or missing replace it with this reproduction timing chain cover that fits 5.0L or a 5.8L Engine equipped with a carburetor. The timing chain cover is designed to protect components such as the timing gears, along with the timing chain.

The timing chain covers is typically designed to seal the front end of the 302 or 351W engine block. Another benefit of the timing chain cover is to seal the timing gears and chain which lubricates the moving parts with engine oil. This cover is casted out of high quality aluminum and is a direct replacement for all 5.0L and 5.8L engines with a carburetor fuel pump cut out.
