Product Description

Aluminized 2-1/4" Dual Exhaust Kit for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mustangs with a Small Block V8 Engine.

Is your Mustang in need of some exhaust work? Replace the damaged or rusted exhaust and replace them with this high quality kit today at CJ Pony Parts. This exhaust kit features a 2-1/4" exhaust that fits properly under the 1965-1973 Mustang. CJ Pony Parts offers everything needed to properly install this exhaust kit on your small block V8 engine.

Kit Includes:
- Long Tube H-Pipe
- Constructed From Aluminized Steel
- Driver Side Intermediate Pipe
- Passenger Side Intermediate Pipe
- Exhaust Clamps (8)
- Stock Style Mufflers (2)
- Driver Side Tail Pipe
- Passenger Side Tail Pipe
- Exhaust Hangers (2)

Please Note: This kit will NOT work with Mustangs that have Staggered Shocks.

The stock style mufflers are almost identical to the original mufflers that were found on the 1965-1973 Mustang. The baffles in this exhaust make it sound as close to stock as possible. The H-Pipe is designed to work with long tube headers and will require some cutting to fit. The Intermediate pipes feature the correct bends that are made to follow the floor contours. This kit provide the driver and passenger side intermediate pipes. The tail pipes start at the end of the mufflers and up over the rear end. The exhaust tips will need to be reused or purchase for a complete installation.

I have 1973 mustang convertible with 5.0L v8. The car currently has a stock single exhaust system with cast manifold. I want to convert it to dual exhaust with possibly using H pipe but keeping the stock cast manifold (no headers) . What do you recommend

Is this the GT version and are there any other parts i have to buy to assemble it?

Asked by: trevan
As long as you have a small block V8 and do not have staggered shocks, this will fit your classic Mustang. It's a kit, so it includes everything you need for installation.
