This tension arm will mount to the lower door hinge and will complete one side. The roller rides on the tension arm and holds the door open. This arm is made from the original Ford Tooling specs and will arrive to you with the needed alignment pins. It's also been heat-treated for spring tension to the specifications on the original Ford blueprints, and it's zinc-plated to prevent rusting.

If the doors in your Mustang aren't staying open when fully extended, many times the door check tension arms have to be replaced. These are going to fit any Mustang built between June of 1982 and the end of 1993. This is going to install underneath your door hand and they're going to be stacked like this. Then the door roller will go over this tension spring when open. When all the way out, the roller goes to the edge and the spring will actually hold your door open for you. This will do one side or one door of your Fox Body Mustang.
