Product Questions

I have a ram 88951 hdx clutch.  Will this clutch work with this flywheel?  will i need dowels?

Asked by: slo98
We don't sell that clutch, so we're not very familiar with it, but it's an 11-inch model, so you'd need bolt and dowel kit M6397A46. It will also only work on 6-bolt crankshafts, so if yours is 8-bolt, you'd need another flywheel. To determine, you need to check the engine code in the VIN: Romeo built engines have 6 bolts and Windsor built engines have 8 bolts. All Cobra engines have 8 bolts. The 8th character in the VIN is (X) for Windsor engine plant or (W) for Romeo engine plant.
