Scott Drake Disc Brake Conversion Kit with Slotted Rotors for all 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969 Mustangs with an 8-Cylinder Engine and 5-Lug Wheels.
Looking to update the original, stock drum brakes that came with your 1965-1969 Mustang with an 8-Cylinder engine and 5-Lug wheels? Consider making the switch to disc brakes. CJ Pony Parts has the Scott Drake Disc Brake Conversion Kit DBC-6569-RACE with Slotted Rotors, which works with all 1965-1969 Mustangs with an 8-Cylinder Engine and 5-Lug wheels. What you get is an all-new disc brake system, which is an exact replica of the original disc brake system that came with some of the original, 1965-1967, 5-lug Mustangs.
This high-quality, Scott Drake Disc Brake Conversion Kit DBC-6569-RACE with Slotted Rotors is an exact reproduction of the original, 1965-1967 factory disc brake setup that came with some of the Mustangs with an 8-cylinder engine and 5-lug wheels of those years. Just like those original disc brakes, these also feature single-piston calipers, slotted and drilled silver-colored rotors and high-performance, semi-metallic brake pads. Though it is a reproduction of the 1965-1967 original system, it can be installed on any 1965-1969 Mustang with an 8-cylinder engine and 5-lug wheels.
Upgrading to disc brakes from your stock drum brakes means better stopping performance. With this kit, you use your original Ford spindles to make installation easier. They do not affect your turning radius unlike other conversions that use different Ford spindles.
Compared to drum brakes, disc brakes cool more easily, meaning the brake components don’t overheat as often. The slotted and drilled rotors are popular with performance car drivers. They work as an a sort of irrigation system for your brakes, moving unwanted water, heat and gas away from the rotor surfaces.
When replacing your brakes, disc brakes are much easier to swap out than drum brakes. The standard industry part number for the replacement brake pads is D159, which can be found at your local auto parts store. This kit is comprised of all-new parts and no cores are required. It includes everything you need at the spindles
Please Note: This kit is exactly the same as Scott Drake Disc Brake Conversion Kit 5-Lug V8 1965-1969 DBC-6569-SC except that this one has slotted and drilled rotors and high-performance semi-metallic pads.
*This kit does not include instructions. Recommended for individuals familiar with basic brake systems.

DO YOU HAVE TO DRILL ANYTHING OR THEY BOLT ON
Hello. I wonder if I can buy the rubberpart/bushing that sits between the "sliding pin" and the caliper? I mean the pin that allowes the caliper to move sideways. The pins outer diameter is 5/8, it looks like the same caliper I have but i'm not sure.
I have a 67 convertible with drum brakes and a brake booster . Are these compatible
what is the diameter of the disk ??
