how do replace rear shocks on 1965 mustang fastback do I need to go through the trunk or do have take out the back seat please explane in detale thanks for your help

Asked by: Rick Patterson
The lower rear seat has to be removed by pushing toward the rear and lifting up on each side, you can try to access the upper shock mounting hardware by removing the two oval shaped rubber plugs. You may have to remove the fold down seat to gain more space by removing two screws at the bumper stops that hold the rear panel in place, once the panel is removed, remove the two bolts that secure the rear fold down seat, remove the fold down seat section, it will be heavy. Then put jack stands under the rear end, then you can remove the mounting hardware and change the shocks.
