Product Description

Scott Drake Black Tri-Y Headers for 1965-1968 Mustangs with 289 and 302 Engines.

New from Scott Drake are these black Tri-Y Headers. Over 40 years of Mustang modifications have resulted in endless configurations and drivetrain combinations, but we believe this product offers the best overall fit available. All tubes are CNC mandrel bent, then carefully placed in a precision-engineered welding jig for a perfect assembly and fit.

The Tri-Y Headers will fit automatic and manual transmission Mustangs with large and small bell housings. Extra clearance has been provided for various starters and there is no interference with the shock towers. In addition, these headers provide full articulation of the steering assembly without interference.

Unique features included are extra thick 3/8" flanges to prevent warping, metal-composite flange gaskets, 1-1/2" primaries, 1-3/4" secondary's and 2-1/2" Collectors. Reducer cones with gaskets (which taper to 2") and all necessary mounting hardware are provided. Other features include mounting flange bolts that can also be easily accessed.

*Note: Mustangs equipped with power steering require a slave cylinder lowering bracket (SCB).

Update: I'm told that these will work with the Windsor 302 engine no matter what, so it will work fine on your 1967.

Asked by: gary1
They both work wonderfully and we would truly recommend either, though, please note, that EXHD36 won't work with 1969 and 1970 Mustangs.
