1972 Suspension

As your 1972 Mustang's suspension becomes worn-out, you'll need to replace key components. What will you replace yours with? Period-correct replacements are available and can return your 1972 Mustang to like-new. Or you can opt for a modern upgrade.

Suspension Solutions

Some of the parts you'll want to routinely check for wear-and-tear include your shocks and struts, coil and leaf springs, and bushings. These are the items that will wear down the fastest, and that can negatively impact your ride quality and handling. Fortunately, they're also among the easiest to replace.

You can replace these parts with OEM-quality replacements, or opt for a major upgrade. Many people decide to change out the classic 1972 Mustang's 4-leaf spring for a 5-leaf version to improve ride quality. Some people even make the radical decision to swap out their entire 1972 Mustang suspension system for an air ride system or coilovers.

Whether you're only interested in restoration or want to upgrade to the latest and greatest, there are suspension system upgrades for every build type.

Not the right year? Try one of these instead: 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, or 1973 for additional options.
