Barton Industries Short Throw Shifter with 2 Post Design Shifter Bracket for 2011-2014 V6 and GT Mustangs and 2012-2013 Boss 302 Mustangs.

If you are looking for quicker shifts from your 2011-2014 manual transmission Mustang, then look no further than a Barton Industries Short Throw Shifter. Built in the USA from the highest quality materials and featuring a 40% throw reduction, it is no wonder that Barton's short shifter is considered one of the hottest upgrades out there.

Shifter Features:
- 40% throw reduction
- Machined from 6061 T6 billet aluminum and 304 stainless steel
- Dual pivot trunnion allows for minimal loss of the neutral left to right throw
- Minimal NVH increase for quiet operation
- Maintains factory reverse lock out and back-up camera
- Accepts factory knobs and maintains factory knob height
- Easy installation with no permanent modification
- Includes Barton's improved 2 post design shifter bracket

This shifter is paired and sold with Barton's 2 post design shifter bracket (HW2998). Barton's billet aluminum shifter bracket will further improve shift performance by helping to eliminate missed shifts due to shifter deflection caused by the flimsy factory shifter bracket.

*Bushing color on shifter bracket may vary.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major improvement! The first time I shifted (checking the shift pattern); it seemed that neutral had disappeared! Actually too short for me. I ordered the handle extension which made it shift even easier. Still a shorter throw and faster than the factory shifter! No more shifting accidently into reverse while seeking first ( common problem!) I now look forward to driving and not worrying about missed shifts! Absolute pleasure to drive now! Ralph DeWitt

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I had this ordered from CJPony last week and had it installed today. Big difference on how gears align and shifted. Very short and quick. Although, its a bit hard at the beginning, but worth the change for sure

Will this kit fit a 2015 Mustang GT?

Asked by: Mustangeric
No this will not fit a 2015. Here is the link for the 2015 barton shifter, http://www.cjponyparts.com/barton-industries-short-throw-shifter-gt-2015-2016/p/MS56/

I'm assuming it would but I thought I'd ask this common question since I didn't see it in the product questions, does this shifter maintain the factory reverse lockout once installed?

Asked by: Garrett 5OH
Never mind ended up seeing it in the product description :)

what is the difference between the 2 piece bracket and the one piece. can you feel it in the shift, and would it shift better with the shifter and the blowfish bracket?

Asked by: Rob151
the bracket itself I believe is 2 pieces nothing to do with the shifter itself
