Canton Racing Products Oil Pump Pick-Up Stud Mustang 351/ 390/ 428Fe With Rear Sump

This Oil Pump Pick-Up Stud 20-953 is required when changing from a front sump pickup to a rear sump pickup. You can also use this Canton Racing Products stud as a replacement main cap stud for original rear sump engines. It's perfect for 351W, 351C, 390 or 428FE Mustangs with a Rear Sump Oil Pan.

Early or pre-1979 engines were designed with a front sump oil pan and a front-mounted oil pump. Later models use rear sump pans, which require a long pick-up tube running from the front-mounted pump to the rear of the pan. Front sump engines did not have this main cap stud.
