This accelerator pedal spring mounts to the accelerator pedal arm and gets attached to the backside of the accelerator pedal. The purpose of this spring is to allow the pedal to depress and then return to its upright position. It also helps to keep tension on the accelerator pedal at all times for better response. This CJ Classics accelerator pedal spring is designed to fit your 1965-1968 Mustang built before 4/25/68. Only one spring is needed per car.
