Cornering and comfort! For a happy medium between the more performance-minded five leafs and comfortable, OE-style four leafs, these CJ Classics 4.5 leaf springs are the way to go. They do a better job of preventing axle wrap and balancing the car than four-leaf springs, but don't feature as firm of a ride as five-leafs.

CJ Classics' 4.5 leaf springs provide a firmer ride than 4 leaf springs, but not as harsh as 5 leaf springs. In addition to an improved ride, this setup helps prevent wheel hop and axle wrap during hard acceleration. For those looking for the right stance, the mid-eye mounting lowers the rear of the car about one inch. These springs are finished with a steel-gray paint to more closely resemble OEM appearance. This brand-new pair of two (2) leaf springs is perfect for your First Generation Mustang.
