Product Description
Classic Instruments Electronic Ford Speedometer Adapter with a 16-Pulse Generator 1965-1973 Mustangs with a Classic Instruments Speedometer.
Classic Instruments uses electronic speedometers for the most accurate reading. The problem is that 1965-1973 Mustangs use a cable to transfer the reading from the transmission to the speedometer. When installing a Classic Instruments speedometer, the mechanical signal must be changed to an electronic signal.
This adapter bolts into the transmission and allows the 16-pulse generator to be screwed on. The generator converts the spinning cable to an electrical signal to properly control the electronic speedometer.
Features:
- Converts mechanical signal to electrical signal
- GM style 16-pulse generator
- Adapter for Ford transmissions
- Allows quick and easy calibration of Classic Instruments speedometers
Once installed and wired up, you can calibrate your speedometer in less than a minute. Switches on the back of the speedometer are moved to different positions to achieve the correct MPH. Once calibrated, your speedometer will provide a precise MPH reading. The speedometer only requires an initial calibration then you won't have to worry about your speed ever again. Never again will you have to deal with a shaky speedometer needle or breaking speedometer cables.
Every Classic Instruments product is designed and calibrated in house to ensure quality and dependability. Classic Instruments strives to meet the unique needs of all automotive enthusiasts. When it comes to gauges, speed pulse sensors, adapters and all other instrument products, Classic Instruments is your one stop shop.
