Checking the condition of the belts on your 1965-1973 Mustang's engine is an important step during routine maintenance. If it's time to replace those engine belts, CJ Pont Parts has you covered with these aftermarket, direct replacement engine V-belts in a wide variety of sizes for any 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mustang!
Please Note: In order to find the correct belt for your specific application, CJ Pony Parts came up with this simple method.
- Belt part numbers that begin with a 1 have a .44" top width
- Belt part numbers that begin with a 2 have a .53" top width
- The last three digits of the belt part number is the total length
- i.e. BELT1330 is 33" long with a top width of .44"; BELT2615 is 61.5" long with a top width of .53"
These rubber V-belts are used to drive such things as the alternator, air conditioning compressor, air (smog) pump, fan, power steering pump and water pump. The V-belt gets it name from its V-shaped cross-section that allows the sides of the belt to grip the pulleys.
*CJ Pony Parts' 1965-1973 Mustang Parts Catalog has a thorough, detailed table that includes a list of all v-belts with their correct applications.
*Some 1965-1973 Mustangs may require two V-belts for certain components, please verify before ordering.
