RP-X steps up from RP-1 with a higher 0.55 mu friction level across 0-750°C, giving full brake effect from cold and a stronger initial bite for sprint racing, hill climbs, or any track use where warm-up time isn't available. Stainless steel backing plates keep heat conduction down, and the more aggressive bite suits under-servoed vehicles. This 2-piece floating rotor pairs a G3500 disc alloy friction ring with an aerospace-grade aluminum center bell, cutting rotational weight versus a comparable 1-piece rotor while improving heat cycling durability. Stainless steel SD-Drive bobbins let the ring float freely without rusting, and 48 handed curved vanes keep cooling airflow moving in the correct direction on both sides of the vehicle.
