Ford Performance Hood Strut Kit With Laser-Engraved Ford Performance Logo Mustang 2005-2014

When you raise the hood on your 2005-2014 Mustang to show off your engine compartment, you could just use the standard prop rod that comes with your factory or aftermarket hood. Or you could upgrade to the Ford Performance M-16826-M Hood Strut Kit, complete with two gas struts and all of the hardware you'll need to install them!

- 1-Drivers side hood bracket (marked with “D”)
- 1-Passengers side hood bracket (marked with “P”)

- 1-Flat socket head cap screw (For 2005-2009 only)

Tech Tip: For 2005-2009 models, AC accumulator bracket pre-installation modifications are necessary using the included Flat socket head cap screw. For 2010-2014 models, pre-installation modifications are needed to relocate the Sound Tube Canister. Please see the Installation Instructions for more details.

Please Note: If your aftermarket hood is lighter than your factory hood, use caution when opening the hood due to the power of these struts.

These struts will take over the job of raising your hood after you start to lift it. Plus, you won't need to use a prop rod after you install these struts because they'll also keep your hood open, even if it's windy outside or someone bumps into your hood while it's open! These gas struts are made out of lightweight steel and aluminum, and they're rated at 90 lbs. They also feature a durable black powder-coated finish and a laser-engraved white Ford Performance logo, which will give your engine bay a nicer and cleaner appearance. No drilling is required to install these struts either since the included brackets are designed to bolt into the existing mounting holes that are already on your hood!
