KONI Special Active Strut and Shocks Kit Red Mustang 2005-2010/GT500 2007-2012

When your Mustang works off the Frequency Selective Damping feature, the oil flow is parallel to the piston for an increased damping force.

The KONI Special Active is a transformative driving style that adapts to various road conditions instinctively. Utilizing the most recent generation of KONI’s patented Frequency Selective Damping technology, it controls large body motions and cornering forces but smooths expansion joints and rough roads for improved comfort.

The Frequency Selective Damping feature is a hydraulic amplifier that delays the buildup of pressure. Basically, an extra tuning option is created to achieve the best combination of handling and comfort. Since it is an integrated part of the hydraulic valve system inside the damper, no additional cables, sensors or any other electronic devices are needed to operate a Frequency Selective Damping damper. This damping mechanism is the simplest and most economical improvement to the ride.

Additional Notes:
- The struts include in this kit are NOT a direct fit on 2011-2014 Mustangs, however, if you are looking to install them onto a 2011-2014 Mustang you will need strut mounts or camber plates that are designed to be used with 2005-2010/2007-2012 GT500 struts.
- Tech Tip: Ensure that all bump stops are re-fitted to ensure that no damage occurs to the valving should the damper bottom out.
- Tech Tip 2: A front wheel alignment will be necessary after the installation of the included KONI Red Special Active front struts.

*The 2013-2014 GT500 is equipped with electronically controlled suspension. These struts and shocks will fit but it will render the electronic control of the suspension useless and may throw an error code in the instrument cluster.
