LED bulbs are going to run much brighter and much cooler than the factory bulbs provided in your 2015 Mustang. This style bulb here will fill multiple locations, including the trunk and glove box, with the most popular location being to replace your map lights.
The glove box and trunk are pretty easy to install. A lot of people have asked how to install the actual map lights. The map light's pretty simple as well. First, I'll show you the stock map light. You can see it's very yellowish light, not very bright at all.
To install it, you simply remove this by pulling down on the ends, and if you pull down here and get your finger underneath, there's a clip on each side. Pull it straight down. It'll pop right off, and once you get it on simply pull straight out, pop that out, remove this bulb and replace it with your LED.
If your map light's been on for a while, the factory bulbs can be kind of on the warm side, so make sure you test it before you put your hand on it so you don't burn yourself. You pop that on. Install the LED. Check it before you put it back in the car. Reinstall and you're finished.
If you put the light in and hit the button and it doesn't turn on, all you've got to do is reverse the polarity. Simply pull it out, spin it 180 degrees, and plug it back in.
To give you a comparison, we left the stock light on this side, and there's our LED: much cooler looking light, much brighter, easier to see and again, they run a lot cooler and will last a lot longer than a stock bulb as well.
