The Maximum Motorsports K-Member (MMKM-1.1) is designed to be a performance upgrade over your factory stamped steel K-member. This K-member is 26% lighter than the factory K-member found on your 1996-2004 Mustang. The Maximum Motorsports K-Member is constructed from high quality tubular steel. The motor mounts on this K-member are in the factory location but also include additional locations so you can move the engine rearward by 1”. The front lower control arm mounts are shifted 3/4” straight forward, thereby increasing positive caster and moving the center of gravity slightly rearward for improved weight distribution. The stiff K-member design will prevent flexing which will improve steering response and handling. The Maximum Motorsports K-Member (MMKM-1.1) is proudly manufactured in the USA!
