1967 Ford Bronco VIN Decoder
Last Updated February 23, 2024 | Kevin BrentAlthough restoring or maintaining a classic '67 Bronco may seem like a daunting task, understanding the original parts can make the process easier. Fortunately, you can acquire this information by decoding your Bronco's VIN and data plate.
Analyzing the data plate enables you to identify your '67 Bronco's series, body type, transmission, axle ratio, and color. The VIN supplies you with the engine code. Employing this information lets you restore your Bronco to its factory condition and recognize any aftermarket components.
1967 Bronco VIN Number Location
The easiest place to find the VIN for your 1967 Bronco is on the frame rail. It's located beneath the engine, before the firewall. If you're not able to read the VIN from the engine bay, turn your wheel as far to the right as possible and stick a camera behind the wheel well, above the frame rail. You might have better luck taking a picture from that angle.
1967 Bronco VIN Plate Location
The full VIN plate is found on the inside face of the glove compartment door. The top line of the data plates displays the categories of codes that are able to be decoded. These categories are: color, type, body, transmission, axle, and DSO.
