Looking for components to restore your vintage '69 Bronco can present a challenge. Understanding the original parts that came with your '69 Bronco model is essential for preserving its functionality and maintaining its authenticity. Fortunately, you can acquire this valuable information by decoding your Bronco's VIN and data plate.

Deciphering the data plate lets you identify important details such as the series, body style, transmission, axle ratio, and color of your '69 Bronco. Additionally, the vehicle's VIN will provide you with the engine code. You can use this data to refurbish your Bronco to its original condition while also identifying any aftermarket components.

1969 Bronco VIN Number Location

The easiest place to find your 1969 Bronco's VIN number is on the frame rail. It's located beneath the engine, before the firewall. Depending on your engine configuration, reading the VIN from inside the engine bay may be difficult. If this is the case, turn the wheel as far to the right as possible and use a camera to take a picture behind the wheel well, above the frame rail. You might have better access to the VIN stamp from behind the wheel.

1969 Bronco VIN Plate Location

The full VIN plate, which includes codes containing your '69 Bronco's production information, is inside the face of the glove compartment door. The top line of the data plate displays the following code categories: color, type, body, transmission, axle, and DSO.
