This trim adds features that are nice to have in a modern vehicle. Think leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats, and remote start.
You'll also get slightly bigger wheels (a full inch bigger) and an extra G.O.A.T mode for dealing with mud and ruts.
If you're looking for a cost-effective option that won't require any building for a while, this is a perfect option. While the base model is truly lacking any comfort or amenities, this is a solid vehicle. It includes all of the features that you would expect in a modern off-roader while still leaving the door wide open for future modifications.

The Black Diamond trim comes ready to take on some pretty serious trails right from the dealership.
7 G.O.A.T modes, front and rear steel bumpers, heavy-duty skid plates, and a locking rear diff are all awesome off-road features. A lot of people argue that if you plan on doing heavy off-roading, this is the lowest trim you should consider.
That's honestly a pretty sensible opinion. The vinyl seats and washout interior are perfect for getting dirty (and clean), and the cost of adding that off-road tech is greater than the added cost to get this trim from the get-go.
While some of the more premium trims offer even more off-road tech, this is already perfect for riding over tough terrain. Outfit it with a Sasquatch package for even more off-road prowess.
If you're really serious about off-roading, this is the trim to start at.
Bronco Big Bend vs Black Diamond: Which Should You Buy?
Both of these trim levels have their pros and cons. If you're looking for a more stripped-down Bronco with a cheaper starting point, than the Big Bend is the trim level for you. It starts at almost $3,000 dollars less than the Black Diamond. You'll be able to go off-roading right off the lot, but you won't be able to tackle the most extreme trails without modifications or upgrades.
On the other hand, the Black Diamond trim level is a much more capable off-roader straight off the lot. The heavy-duty skid plates and locking rear diff are off-road essentials that can't be found on the Big Bend.
