Pair of Total Control Products Weld-On Subframe Connectors for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Convertible Mustangs.
Everyone knows the best way to stiffen up your 1965-1970 Convertible Mustang is by adding subframe connectors. Total Control Products' subframe connectors join together the front subframe/floor support and rear frame rail at the front leaf spring mount. The connectors fit completely under the stock floor and include mounts for TCP's optional center support.
TCP's subframe connectors are constructed from 1-5/8" round tubing with a .134" wall thickness. The end of each connector is completely sealed by the 7 gauge formed sheet metal mounts. Each subframe connector is fully powder coated for durability and long lasting life. Mounts are welded to the chassis for maximum rigidity.
A single mandrel bend helps the connectors tightly follow the contour of the undercarriage. The connectors blend visually with the factory subframes and they are tucked up high enough to avoid bumps and debris in the road. Front and rear mounts are placed to weld at the strongest points of the factory subframe. Mounting holes are pre-drilled for simple installation of TCP connector supports.
Features:
- 1-5/8 x .134” round tubing
- Black powder coat finish
- Weld-on
- Fully sealed construction
- Tightly follows undercarriage sheet metal
- Pre-drilled for add-on-connector support
Subframe connectors should be one of the first chassis modifications on your 1965-1970 Convertible Mustang. Chassis flex can weaken metal and break parts. Subframe connectors fortify the chassis to combat flex. You'll notice your Mustang will feel much more solid after the installation of Total Control Products Subframe Connectors.
