Borgeson Steel Steering Coupler for 11/16"-36 Spline X 3/4" Smooth Bore.
Extend your application's steering box, R&P shaft, or column shaft with a Borgeson Steel Steering Coupler (312500) designed for an 11/16"-36 Spline X 3/4" Smooth Bore. Accomplishing this task with a 2 straight extension, called a Coupler, can often eliminate the universal joint. Simply weld or pin the Coupler to the un-splined shaft end.

Since the Coupler is made of steel, it is less prone to heat damage, and can therefore tolerate welding. And, since there are no moving parts to damage, welding is perfectly acceptable.
