Chevrolet Performance 502 C.I. 406HP Truck Replacement Crate Engine.

The Chevrolet Performance 502HO crate engine (19433157) delivers 461 horsepower and 558 lb.-ft. of torque in a proven big-block package built for strong low-end performance and long-term durability. This 502 C.I. engine produces substantial torque just off idle, making it well suited for street driving, towing, and heavy vehicles. A cast-iron 4-bolt main block and forged rotating assembly provide the strength needed to handle sustained loads, while the hydraulic roller camshaft offers smooth drivability and a broad power curve. The 8.75:1 compression ratio allows operation on regular pump fuel without sacrificing torque output. This crate engine includes an aluminum dual-plane intake manifold, cast-iron long-style water pump, 14” flexplate, and balancer to simplify final assembly.

Additional Notes:
- Requires carburetor, fuel pump, starter, distributor, and ignition system (not included).
- Clutch linkage bosses are drilled and tapped. When using cast-iron exhaust manifolds, lower head bolts may require shorter-head bolts for clearance.
- Equipped with mechanical fuel pump boss and fuel pump lobe.
- Includes externally balanced 14” automatic transmission flexplate. For manual transmission applications, use a flywheel and 11” clutch assembly.
- Distributor with melonized steel gear must be used with steel camshaft applications.
- Not intended for marine applications.
- Designed for pre-1976 street vehicles or off-road use only.
