This proportioning valve (PVKUA0) from Classic Performance Products works for both disc/drum and disc/disc applications, and brings distribution block and proportioning valve together into one component, perfect for your restomod or custom vehicle. Equipped with a covert mount which will tuck the valve under your master cylinder, this kit is perfect for a clean look and improved braking performance.

When your brakes are first applied, the rear brakes act with more brake pressure. The purpose is to activate the rear brakes first, and maintain a slightly higher rear brake pressure as the braking force increases up to the split point. After the brake pressure has risen to the split point, the rate of rise within rear brake system will decrease to prevent rear wheel lockup.

Residual valves will not be necessary with 4 wheel disc brakes. The front brake will maintain a small residual pressure, so they are quicker to act, while their action is better controlled. The failsafe isolation valve function remains 100% intact. These setups are available in aluminum, brass, black and chrome. 1967 and newer vehicles require the pressure differential warning light socket and pigtail as an important safety item.
