This kit will provide your Mustang with brand new leaf springs, as well as move them to a more central location, for a unique & popular design. Detroit Speed's mini-tubs will also let your get bigger wheels in the back so you can get a better production out of your vintage Pony.

This kit includes all of the parts that you'll need for a complete, high-performance upgrade package on your classic Mustang. You'll enjoy Detroit Speed's highly respected & proven rear suspension design, while maintaining a stock appearance, for a unique modification. The mini-tubs will allow you to put a larger wheel & tire package on the back of your Pony. This kit also gives you brand new leaf springs and allows you to move them inside of the stock frame rails. The lower leaf spring plates have a shock mount integrated into it so you won't have to worry about it. Detroit Speed's adjustable leaf spring pads will make the process of locating & centering the rear axle, as well as setting the ideal pinion angle, drastically painless.

A new rear brace is included so you can connect the rear frame rail into the leaf spring's new location in the rear. The upper shock mounts feature heavy-duty plates that will place your new shocks at the perfect location to get the best performance possible. Detroit Speed also makes sure to include new torque boxes so you can mount the front of the leaf springs and connect your subframe connectors.

Warning: The rear valence on a 1965-1966 Mustang GT will NOT work with this kit. The new location of the Leaf spring will interfere with the exhaust cut-out in the valance.

*The rear axle used with this kit requires 3" outer diameter axle tubes.

Please Note: The 1965-1970 factory fuel tank will NOT work with this kit. Detroit Speed does offer a mini-tub kit fuel tank for a carbureted or fuel injected engine on your Mustang
