Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well and fits! This distributor works exactly as advertised, it is a nice package and looks beautiful! Be warned, this is a big distributor, its probably about 1.5 times the size of the stock distributor but as you can see in the picture, it fit just barely with my aftermarket air filter but it did indeed fit. The instructions that came with it were for GM vehicles but its fairly dummy proof: remove the old one, set the new one in place, make sure cylinder one is at top dead center, put your spark plug cables on it, fire it up and set your timing. For those who are little confused on how to wire it, take the wire from the positive end of your current coil, cut it, put a female blade end on it and attach that to the terminal labeled "Bat" on the distributor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, easy upgrade. This distributor installed easily and worked first try, my 302 never sounded better! When installing this distributor there are a couple of things you need to pay attention to that I ran into. CJ mentions that you will possibly need a new air cleaner, I will be getting a new one, and not mentioned is the fact that if you are using a Holley Carburetor (I have a 650 dual feed dual pump) the Dist. cap has a projection where the wires are attached that will literally not clear the front bowl, so during installation you will have to keep that in mind and make sure you leave room to turn it during the final timing process. I ended up taking it out turning it and putting it back in to get enough sweep to time it correctly. Thanks CJ great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fixed it The product, timeframe and service was great ! I had the old points and condenser dizzy and had issues. Now with this baby, the little 289 2V will smoke the tires in the 66 Stang. The only bad thing was the directions were for a Chevy but this was minor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to install Changed out my points and coil on my old bronco and the single wire hook up with no modifications needed was great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I purchased this to replace a faulty MSD unit the previous owner had installed in my 1967 289 motor. This unit fit exactly like the worn MSD version and my 52 year old engine is purring like brand new again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good option to OEM distributor Will install this summer when I assemble car. Car is a numbers correct mid August 1964 A code. This assembly can not hide as OEM but close enough that Friday night drive in participants won't notice or care.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy one 12 volt hook up Works very nice got rid of external coil/coil wire. So glad to get rid of the points and condenser. I used it in my 1972 Ford F100 302 had to modify the air cleaner housing a little bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worked great right out of box that fixed my problems easily, but it is larger and now I need a new air cleaner/filter less than 6 inches from center bolt of filter to distributor

Hi I just received the Scott Drake HEI distributor. I want to put it into a 1965 Mustang. The wiring connection is totally different than what is on the car. Is there a certain plug needed to wire this distributor? It says Tach and Batt. on the cap.

Asked by: rustrod
You will need to change the end on the wire to a female spade connector.
