195 Degree Thermostat for 1965-1973 Mustangs with a 6-Cylinder Engine and 1965-1995 Mustangs with an 8-Cylinder Engine.
This new 195-degree thermostat is a direct replacement for your inline six, small block, big block, or roller 5.0 engine. This thermostat will allow your engine to reach 195 degrees before opening.

This thermostat features a copper "hat" that seals against a bypass restrictor plate inside the block. This closes the bypass circuit when the thermostat opens, so that all coolant has to go through the radiator. This keeps the temperature from fluctuating too much, to prevent overheating.
