This Pair of TMI Pro-Series Seat Mount Brackets (47-5002) will work in all 1979-1998 Mustangs so you can install your new TMI Pro-Series Front Bucket Seats! Bill: Today, we have our good buddy Waylon here from TMI to help us fresh the interior of a Mustang LX. So Waylon, the interior's coming out great. The headliner and door panels really give it a fresh look. We keep original, which is what I wanted. Now, I'm excited about the seats because I told you I do want to do aftermarket seats, something supportive but I also don't want to take away from the original look of the car.

Waylon: Exactly. And when you told me that, I immediately thought of these. These are our new race seat line. That's a Pro Viper Junior. This is the Chicane. And what we did is we released these in the factory original vinyl and color matched. So you're standing next to titanium. I'm standing next to the original opal. It's actually, it was an epiphany I had walking through Mustang Week, a year or two-

Bill: Everybody has black seats.

Waylon: Everybody had race seats and they're fantastic, they look good, but they didn't match ... Say that I had a ruby red interior, scarlet red, or they had a titanium interior, it didn't match their backseat, it didn't match their door panels. So I thought if we could come up with a race seat that would match that original interior, it would kind of help those guys out.

Bill: So these will available in all the factory colors, they're sold as a pair, and they're direct bolt-in?

Waylon: Correct. Direct bolt-in with a bracket for a Fox, SN95, S197, all the way up to S550s. We even match the saddles from the S197 colors. We match the anniversary reds. All those factory original colors are available.

Bill: Awesome. Let's get these in the car.

Waylon: Absolutely.

Bill: Now removing your stock seats is very easy. There's gonna be two nuts in the front on studs and then two bolts in the back. So I'm gonna remove the seats that are in the car currently, while Waylon is gonna show you how to assemble the brackets on the new Pro-Vipers.

Waylon: While Bill is removing his original seats, I'm gonna go ahead and show you how to put the sliders and the brackets onto the bottom of the new race seats. Everything you see here comes with the seat. There's a small box inside there with the race seats that includes your sliders, spacers, nuts, bolts, everything you're gonna need to install the sliders.

Separately, we sell the brackets. Now these are year, make, model specific so you're gonna need a different one for your Fox Body than say you would for your S197. To put these sliders on, it's easier if you have two people handy. Two sets of hands helps out quite a bit, so I'm gonna see if Bill can give me a hand on this.

On these slider tracks, what you're gonna want to do is release these teeth right here and then slide it up so you can see a visible hole. That'll let us have enough space to install the top one. Grab your provided hardware. I'm gonna let you do it from that angle a little bit easier. I'll hold the track. After you get one in place, you're gonna repeat the process for the bottom. Release the teeth, slide the track up until you get that visible hole.

It's easiest right now to go ahead and install this to this connecting wire right here. You're gonna want to just slide that side through. Slip it through the other side before you install that side of the slider. A lot easier to do before that's in place. Again, release the teeth, if you can. Again, this is where it's always good to have another person right there helping you out.

Putting your bracket on, there's two different heights on the legs. You're gonna put the shorter leg up front, taller leg on the back. Provided hardware. With all four nuts installed nice and tight, we're ready to install this into the Fox using the factory original hardware there.

Bill: You install the original hardware. Make sure you get the fronts hand tight so we can adjust the seat and install the rear hardware.

Waylon, thanks again for coming out and definitely for convincing me on the seats. I mean, I was trying to keep it all original, the door panels and the headliner, but I think the seats were the right move.

Waylon: Yeah, I mean we still kept it stock appearing. Everything's still titanium. Everything still flows inside. You just get a more modern, more comfortable seat when you switch to these race style seats.
