Scott Drake Timing Pointer 289/302/351W 1968-1973 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proper two o'clock pointer. As advertised. Works fine. No complaints. To clarify to some this is for a two o'clock position timing pointer with the passenger side water pump hose connection. Can't beat the price either.

will this pointer fit a 1966 Mustang 289?

Asked by: Scout2x
The timing pointer is molded into the left side of timing cover at about the 2 oclock position up to 67, if the engine is from 68 to 73 than there will be a threaded hole at the 2 oclock position.

This says its for 1968-1973 but that's not correct. The water pump inlet for the 351W was switched from the right to left side in 1970. I need a pointer that mounts on the right side (passengers side). Do you offer one?

Asked by: Jamesmack63
The only right hand timing pointer we offer is this one, http://www.cjponyparts.com/5-0-timing-pointer/p/F1TZ6023A/

what side does it bolt on with a passenger side heater hose

Asked by: smoking
This is for an early small block with a 3 bolt crank damper, it mounts on the drivers side of the timing cover.

Looking to buy a performance 302/347 Ford motor. Your sales (who ?) told me about a timing tab for 69 and earlier that is a bolt on to the timing cover and will allow me to set TDC exactly on the harmonic balancer timing marks. Reply with p/n and price.

Asked by: Donald
We don't offer a "timing tab." You'd have to reach out to this sales person directly to see what they were referring to since we don't offer anything under that name, and they can advise you on the part number and price.
