1967 Headers
Upgrading your 1967 Mustang's exhaust system can help produce a better sound and better performance. And where better to start than where the engine and exhaust meet? Replacing your 1967 Mustang exhaust manifold with a set of performance headers can help eliminate backpressure.
Which Headers are Right for You?
1967 Ford Mustang headers are designed to help direct exhaust gas so that there aren't any traffic jams. Instead of just dumping the exhaust into the pipes, headers take the exhaust on different routes to ensure a smooth and continual flow.
The different lengths of headers have different strengths and weaknesses. You'll be able to select from long tube, shorty, mid-length, and tri-y style headers. Tri-Y headers are actually only able to be used on classic Mustangs. This style was first popularized by Carroll Shelby on the GT350, so, you might say they're pretty good.
Shorty 1967 Mustang headers are going to be the easiest to install, and are legal in all 50 states. They're also only "short" in comparison to long tube 1967 Mustang headers. In comparison to your stock exhaust manifold, they're still significantly larger.
