1979 Mustang Parts

1979 was the first year of the Fox Body Mustang generation. With over 369,936 Mustangs sold in 1979 alone, the Fox Body was as popular then as it is now.

Today, the Fox Body is well-loved for its combination of unique and vintage style. Though the 1979 Mustang’s design shows its heritage, its four-eyed fascia definitely stands out from other Mustangs.

Restoring a 1979 Mustang is popular, but many enthusiasts also opt to use the Fox Body as a base for drift builds or a drag car. Its lightweight body makes it a perfect candidate for performance builds. With just a few modifications it can really hold its own.

Whether you want to try a full engine swap or add horsepower with a cold air intake, there’s no shortage of Fox Body mods.

If you're taking on a full restoration, check out our new body and sheet metal for 1979 Mustangs. You'll find everything from small bolts and hinges to spoilers and body panels.
