1980 Mustang Parts

What's keeping you from enjoying your 1980 Mustang fully? Whether it's a broken door handle, some much-needed maintenance, or an engine that doesn't quite pick up and go the way it should, there are ways to improve your Mustang so that you can get more out of it.

If you're waging a war against rust, dents, and dings, then check out our body and sheet metal selection. We offer everything from full panels to spare keys and antennas. Getting your Mustang's body into better condition will give you an instant appearance boost.

One of the problems that the Fox Body struggled with was body flex. If you're having a hard time navigating corners efficiently, then a few basic upgrades like subframe connectors and sway bars can give you the handling you'll need to keep pace with other drivers. These improvements will make your Mustang handle more easily, and make driving it even more enjoyable.

Changing out your interior components may seem superficial, but this is an easy area to make improvements to, and you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Just replacing your seats with ones that have a little more cushion can help make a long ride better. You can also update your Fox's style with new shifters, better upholstery, and other thoughtful upgrades.

The two areas most people are interested in improving are the engine and the exhaust. These areas were a little weaker than Mustang enthusiasts were used to straight from the factory, but that just means there's even more room for improvement. Exhaust kits, intake manifolds, carburetors, and other modifications offer lots of opportunities to squeak out a few more horsepower and get an exhaust note you'll love. If you want to go big, then swapping a Coyote or LS engine into your 1980 Mustang can make it a serious contender on the drag strip. The Fox Body's lightweight frame coupled with a serious engine means you'll get more rear wheel power than some heftier Mustangs would.

With just a few mods, your 1980 Mustang can perform better than before, and meet your needs perfectly.
