American Powertrain TREMEC TKX 5-Speed Manual Transmission w/ .68 Overdrive

The TKX is the latest TREMEC 5-speed manual transmission offered by American Powertrain. These transmissions manage up to 600 lb-ft of torque. A primary advantage it offers is its compact design and minimal weight. At only 99 pounds, these are around 30lbs lighter than a T-56 Magnum 6-Speed. The TKX retains the modular shifter location possibilities of the previous generation, making it a great swap for a wide variety of project vehicles.

Tech Tip: Fluid capacity is 2.7 quarts. Use of a TREMEC High-Performance Manual Transmission fluid or Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF is highly recommended.
