Why choose the SS4-Plus Deep Stage? The system uses two Fire Red S4 four-piston calipers for a bold cosmetic appearance that can be styled with a matching front system, courtesy of Baer. The caliper is designed with four 10mm cross bolts for maximum stiffness and uses the popular four-piston pad (P/N DR1) for easy replacements. The calipers come with the necessary D.O.T.-compliant dust and weather seals.

- Rotors Drilled for 5/8 Studs with 11/16 Holes for 5 x 4.50 Inch and 5 x 4.75 Inch Wheel Bolt Patterns

The calipers mount to an 11-inch x 1 inch directional, two-piece rotor that is slotted, drilled and zinc-plated to perfection. To achieve weight savings, the hat is made of 6061 T-6 billet aluminum and given a black anodized finish. While the Rear Brake System is designed especially for drag cars, it can be used on the street after the necessary adjustments have been made.
Tech Tips:
- A smaller 1.375-inch piston option is available and has been a very popular option in classes such as NMRA True Steet where the cars will see limited street use.
- This system comes equipped with a high friction pad that is optimized for drag race applications. These pads often produce more dust and noise.
- These systems are available in a variety of piston sizes. The larger piston area, 1.75 inches, will provide maximum clamping force, but can cause long pedal issues due to large volume requirements.
Additional Notes:
- Your axle flange will need to be turned down to 5.75 inches for this system to work.
- These rear systems are designed for racing only. If used on the street, due to brake bias change, be sure to spend some time to make sure adjusted correctly.
