Distributors

A vehicle’s distributor sends electrical current to the spark plugs. If it doesn’t send the right amount at the right time, the engine won’t function properly. If your classic Bronco won’t start or has issues with misfiring, the distributor could be the problem.

Whether you’re replacing your Bronco’s entire ignition system or just have an isolated issue, your distributor will need to be swapped out. Direct-fit replacement distributors are easy to install. They’ll make sure your engine fires like it did when it was new. Plus, modern components can provide better voltage and reliability than the original ones.

Brands like Scott Drake and PerTronix offer a variety of options. If you’ve upgraded your engine from stock, a new distributor is probably needed. It will ensure that your timing is correct and that your engine revs smoothly.

Adding a new ignition coil is a good install to complete alongside the distributor. This ensures that the electricity is reaching the engine efficiently. The larger spark plug gaps provide more power, smoother response, and increased fuel economy.

Standalone components like distributor caps are also available to buy separately.
