Product Description

Detroit Speed Rear Speed Kit 1 for 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993 Mustangs.

This rear Speed Kit 1 Suspension Kit from Detroit Speed provides your 1979-1993 Mustang with modern Detroit-tuned valving! It relocates the shock springs to the frame rail, allowing them to clear your Fox Body's tires while providing room for the addition of Mini-Tubs in the future. This kit also comes with your choice of non-adjustable, single-adjustable, or double-adjustable shocks.

Features and Benefits:
- "Detroit Tuned" coilover springs/shocks
- Optimized for ride quality, handling, and ride height adjustment
- Your choice of non/single/double-adjustable shocks
- Bolt-on coilover conversion moves shocks to frame rail
- Offers strength and wheel/tire clearance
- Offers clearance for up to 3" custom exhaust system
- Bolt-on Swivel-Links rear links are stronger than factory arms
- Links eliminate bind and allow for max suspension articulations
- Laser-cut brackets compatible with original frames and axles
- Easy to adjust wheelbase/pinion angle w/o unbolting Swivel Links
- Maintains improved traction and lower driveline vibrations

This kit eliminates the use of loud spherical rod ends and replaces them with Swivel-Link rear links for full articulation. These links also make it possible to adjust your Mustang's pinion angle without taking them off the car, ensuring your car's traction remains in great condition! Hardware is included for a direct, bolt-on installation.

If you choose non-adjustable shocks, you get the Detroit Tuned valving you want for your Mustang. If you choose single-adjustable shocks, you get the addition of rebound adjustment with the use of a knob. If you choose double-adjustable shocks, you get an even higher range of adjustment from low to high, allowing you to dial your suspension into your exact needs.

Additional Notes:
- A coilover conversion kit is required before installing the Swivel-Link kit as there is no spring perch on the links like on the factory arm.
- Depending on tire and mini-tub width, fuel tank modification may be required when adding a custom exhaust system.
