This Edelbrock (227558) Max Fire Ready to Run Distributor comes to you ready to run right out of the box! It’s a great way to upgrade your ignition system and is ideal for replacing or upgrading from a points triggered distributor. This distributor will provide you with unrivaled voltage to your coil to help ensure maximum engine performance. It has a centerless ground shaft that uses an upper sealed roller bearing with an extra-long lower bronze Oil-Lite bushing that offers smooth operation, and it also has a high output magnetic pickup and large paddle wheel reluctor to deliver a strong trigger signal at a high RPM for max performance. Made of CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum, this distributor also has O-ring grooves so you can use it in a fully machined engine block. Installing it will be easy thanks to the 3-wire hook-up and thanks to the fact that you won’t need to run an external ignition control box!
