Forced induction motors like the GT500’s Supercharged V8, have a higher crankcase pressure than naturally aspirated motors and can suffer more from oil blow-by. When crankcase pressure vents back through the intake track, oil vapors can collect in the intake tube, intake manifold runner, and even lower the octane levels of your gas by diluting it. With force inducted engines this effect is much greater, that is why the Black Anodized Passenger Side 3.0 Oil Separator Kit has been redesigned to hold three fluid ounces, an increase over the original design which only held a little over an ounce.

The multi-stage filter system features a fine mesh stainless steel screen to capture fine oil vapors. Once the vapors collect and become heavy enough, they then drop to a 1/2” thick 1/16th” aluminum honeycomb filter where they become larger drops. The drops become heavier until they fall to the bottom of the canister, preventing the oil vapors from passing on into the intake system.

A knurled tank base allows for easy disposal of the collected oil, while an O-ring keeps the seal tight to prevent leaks. J&L Oil Separator Co. designs and builds its products in the USA to be a direct-fit upgrade and a plug-and-play install.
