Detroit Speed Rear Coilover Conversion Kit W/ Adjustable Shocks Mustang 1979-1993

With the “Detroit Tuned” valving of this Detroit Speed Rear Coilover Conversion Kit, 1979-1993 Mustangs enter a new realm of ride quality and handling! The first step in this kit’s conversion process is relocating the shock mounts and springs from the lower control arms into the frame rail. Not only does this ensure they remain useful and maximize strength, but it also creates extra wheel and tire clearance. It even opens up room in the exhaust area, allowing custom exhausts up to 3” in size.

Once your previous shocks are repositioned, your choice of non-adjustable, single, or double-adjustable shocks take their place. The single adjustable shocks offer rebound adjustment at the simple turn of a knob, making it excellent for street use. As for the double adjustable version, their high and low-speed independent adjustment lets them excel in both performance and street applications. Laser-cut brackets complete the kit and ease the bolt-on installation, working like a charm with factory frames and axles.

Tech Tip: After the coilover conversion is complete, Detroit Speed Mini-Tubs may be installed in the car at any time, sold separately.
