Edelbrock Universal Carburetor Choke Cable with Polished Knob.
When faced with cold weather conditions, your engine may need a choke, so it won’t have difficulty starting. To control your manual choke, mount an Edelbrock Universal Carburetor Choke Cable (8013) inside your vehicle.
The choke produces a rich air/fuel mixture to help your engine get started with ease. The choke plate covers the primary barrels, restricting airflow through the carburetor so there's more fuel and less air entering the intake manifold.

As the engine gradually warms up, it can run on a slimmer mixture. You'll need to steadily open the choke plate, allowing more air into the engine. The Choke Cable is essential in opening up the choke plate.
The Choke Cable is compatible with 2- and 4-barrel carburetors with a manual choke. The part measures 6' in overall length and includes a polished steel knob with an ‘Edelbrock Equipped’ logo engraved on the surface. You'll route it from the dash, through the firewall, and then onward to the carburetor.
