Below the supercharger, the carb’s power valve references the intake manifold vacuum. In doing so, it gives better enrichment to the main metering system under load conditions, optimizing efficiency. Tech Tip: This carburetor has a square bore flange bolt pattern. It can replace Holley, Edelbrock, Carter AFB, and Autolite-style carbs with 5-3/16" x 5-5/8" bolt pattern. If you have a spreadbore style intake manifold, you will need an adapter like Mr. Gasket P/N: 1932 to install the carburetor.
